I really don't mean to carry this on and I apologize if I seem to but I also don't think a person should be afraid to post their needs more than once. I've done the same in hopes someone new will have the bit of info I need or that new info will have surfaced. It's part of the brick wall syndrome. I myself don't want to discourage people from doing that and I don't mind looking twice...or more to help. Shall we just drop it? We've both made our point. :O)

I am one of those too and I don't have a problem with it. All I have to do it remember when I see one, such as you just did and "jumped in". You just spent your time depriving someone of your help. I didn't deprive or waste my time but I am now talking to you about reprimanding me for helping someone. Let it rest.

no, its not a rule for Anc but there are quite a few of us "seekers" who give a large amount of our time & resources to help others, often on a daily basis, and when a message is duplicated or triplicated etc then we are depriving someone else of help and, wasting our time, all finding out the same info
As etiquette, us "seekers" tend not to "jump in" when someone else replies to a posting & we leave them to carry on with that poster till conclusion or one of their family members replies
I dont mean to sound "crabby" - its just a fact

Is that one of Ancestry.com rules? I guess I don't see a big problem with it. This is the first time I've seen the posting and I had no problem with trying to help. I don't do this family but I do try to be helpful and do some looks-ups when I have some resources that might apply.

to Wordsmith: No you did'nt
immisty038 has posted a similar message on other listings - census info etc has already been given. Regretfully when people post the same thing on different postings it can lead to many people trying to help and the same info being duplicated, or triplicated etc

The 1919-20 Muncie City Directory shows two Loys in town at that time:
Alice at 1601 Shipley
Vernon L. & Irma E. at 807 E. Charles
This may be too early for your pair but could be connected and may have even lived at one of those addresses. You might want to contact the Muncie Public Library and ask them to look into a city directory for a later year.
