Wondering if you have made any progress on Anderson Broyles family info. I am a descendent of his sister Fannie and wondered if you have any information on her.

In gathering information for my Muncie research trip in a couple of weeks, would appreciate it if anyone can tell me if St. Lawrence Catholic church is still active, and where records from 1924 might be found. Obituary for my ggf Lawrence CAREY says he was buried from that church @16 January 1924. I have Beech Grove cemetery info, but might find more in church entry.

GenFest 2007Below you will find Rhonda's very useful GenFest Tips. I have also included her message on Funeral Home Update. I think you'll find both VERY useful.
Don't forget cameras, laptops, extra storage, a jacket for the library, contact lists, maps, charts, magnifying implements and lots of hugs for new-found friends and family. Prior sign-up is not necessary to attend!! You can't beat learning and gathering information while having fun.
See you all at GenFest!
GenFest Tips
This list of tips has been compiled in order to make the most of your time during GenFest 2007.
1.. You do not have to have change for copies in the Indiana Room. Reference Services has coin copy machines. Simply keep track of the number and kind of copies you make on the tally sheet for copies which are available throughout the Indiana Room. Present your tally and pay at the table as you leave the museum.
2.. Search for obituaries in Reference Services, located on the second floor of the library.
3.. Vital Records are available in the Indiana Room.
4.. Materials Usage Forms are available at the Indiana Room desk. Please keep track of how many resources you use. Turn it in as you leave the museum.
5.. Wireless codes are available at the registration table, the Indiana Room desk, or at Circulation Services. Also Reference
6.. If you have questions, please ask a staff member or a volunteer.
7.. Do to limited equipment; time on microfilm reader/printers may be limited.
8.. At the registration table on Saturday morning there will be a line for "Preregistered", everyone who is receiving this email is preregistered, as well as any other people you have listed as attending with you. Go to the Preregistered line and pick up your name tag and you are ready to go.
9.. If you are planning on taking the bus to the cemetery, pick up a bus ticket after you register Saturday morning.
I hope you are all looking forward to your trip to Marion and GenFest 2007. I look forward to seeing you next weekend.
AND:
Hello,
I just spoke with some Frank from Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Homes here in Marion. He suggested that if anyone has people who were served by them, that if you would contact them between now and Wednesday with the names you are looking for, they would search their records and have whatever information that may be available ready before GenFest. Please don't over run them with 30 names you are looking for, but if you have a few names that were buried by Needham's, please contact them and help them not be over run during GenFest. Thanks!
