Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
How cool is that site! Thank you, thank you! It wasn't quite an
estate/probate (although it was labeled as such) but it did pertain to
the settlement of a debt of my ggggrandfather. I appreciate the
assistance.

Lori,
You probably are not gonna find an obituary for those dates.
But you may want to visit the Muncie Genealogy Library's website and
search the court records. I did a quick search for James McLaughlin and
got several hits. I pulled one up and it was an estate/probate dated in
1842.

You may be able to find info on them through those records.

This is quite early to find an obit. The Indiana State Library has a
newspaper database, showing which papers they have on microfilm. If I
remember right, Munseytown didn't have a newspaper that early. Public and
legal notices, etc., were placed in Anderson and other newspapers.

You might try the genealogy library. If the have one, they'll print and send it to you for a nominal fee.

I'm hoping to find someone who may have a connection or have some
information about the family of Charles O. Spencer who came to Delaware Co.
about 1872. He married Laura Ellen Stafford Dec. 1873 and had the following
children:
Ella (?Effie) b. 1875 m. Leroy Shideler,
Laura b. 1877 m. Clarence Wilber Dearth,
Grace, b. 1879 m. Ransom Reese,
Ethel b. 1882, m. Carl Myers,
Walter, b. 1884 m. Edith Darrall,
Ralph, b. 1886 m. Florence Darrall,
Everett b. 1889 m. Janet McPhail,
Earl b. 1892 d. WWI.
I don't know when Charles O. died or where any of these are buried. I'd
love to find an obit if anyone can help.
Charles O.'s brother, Newman, also lived in Delaware Co. but died in the
1880's. Their uncle and aunt, Charles and Datee Spencer moved there from
Wayne co at about the same time, Uncle Charles died in 1877, he had adopted
before he died a Daniel Charles Cox, b. 1857, son of Zimri and Cornelia Cox,
and changed his name to Daniel Charles Spencer. If anyone can help with any
information on these Spencers, I would appreciate it.

Would someone help me find the burial location
and dates for Israel Roby and his wife Melissa Roby.
Melissa died before 1900 and Israel was still living
in 1910.
Israel was found in 1900 in Delaware Co Niles Twp.
Thanks for any help.
