Does anyone have any information about the Mary Perdue who married Francis
McNary / McNairy in 1835, Delaware Co. ? Stafford Perdue, probably the son of
Abner Perdue and Frances Finley, is living with the Francis McNary family in
1880, Delaware Co.

If he is the same one I'm thinking about, his "sister" or aunt (I need to
look at my notes) is still alive in a nursing home in the outskirts of
Muncie. I'm still running but think I may even have a picture of him when
he was a little boy. I'll try to check tonight when we get back from this
diploma awarding at my son's school.
This is so neat!! Do you have anything at all on the Kings? There are
several of the family still living right there in that area. We visited as
many as we could last year. There is also a LOT of info on the family.
We'll have to "chat" by email.

Thanks to those who responded with some helpful information on Earl
Pittenger. I was able to trace the Pittenger family through the US Census
and found data except in 1910 and 1920. Earl enlisted in the service for
WWI on June 15, 1918 in Muncie, IN. He listed his address as Albany, IN at
that time. His name was recorded as Clayton Earl Pittenger.
My data goes back to his grandfather and grandmother, Francis and Eliza J.
Marks. Their children are Washington, Phebe, Rhoda, Flora, John, Marion and
George.
Washington and Margaret (Unknown) are Earl's parents. Siblings are Iva,
Frederick C., Cyrus, Thomas E. and Murrel (my best guess - very hard to
read) apparently a twin with Earl.
Earl and Lona Arbogast's children are Sanford Earl, John Arbogast, Rex
Arthur and Robert Everett.
If anyone connects to any of the above, I can send a copy of a report with
additional information via attachment directly to your e-mail address.
Louise Denney
I've attached and sent the picture three times now and it keeps coming through all strange and with letters instead of the picture. Is it the firewall? What do I do?? Someone who knows about this sort of thing --- help! :=)

Hi Virginia,
Would you please elaborate on the Howell, Snodgrass Fuson Brown connections?
I don't believe we have any Lee connections but there might be. The Mt
Pleasant Howell line goes back to Joshua, John, Daniel P, John Q, Fred G - all
settled around the Cammack area.
The Snodgrass line would be when Fred G Howell married Eva P Snodgrass whose
father was Jarius Jefferson Snodgdrass and Etta Catherine Miller. Fred G's
parents were John Q Howell and Lydia Alice Ball.
There is another Howell-Snodgrass marriage when the Leah, daughter of Hazel
Howell and Avon "Von" Stephenson married Billy Lee Ritchey who was the son of
Garrell Ritchey and Uva Snodgrass. Von was from Cammack.
The Fuson connection is Annette Howell, daughter of Clifford and Beatrice
"Bette" Howell who married Herb Fuson Jr. Clifford was the twin son of Daniel
Edward Howell and Florence Elmeda "Meda" Derbyshire.
We have a Howell-Brown connection with George W Howell, son of Daniel P
Howell and Elizabeth Parkison, married Elizs R "Liza" Brown.
The Howell, Snodgrass, Fuson, Stephenson, Parkison and Derbyshire families
were all pioneer families in Delaware Co. settling in or near Cammack and
Yorktown areas.
Do we have any connections?

In your Scott Family line is there any Spencer SCOTT, GALLOWAY and WRAY. My
Uncle, William GALLOWAY was married to a Irene WRAY and these are part of her
surnames. Forgive me as my grandson deleted all of my tree and I am starting
over. This is just from memory. Muriel

Hi Janni and Ann,
My CAREY's ended up in Muncie also, but are probably not related to your
Carey lines. But just in case, here are the facts. William Carey married Mamie
Sherlin, worked for Indiana Bridge and traveled to Minnesota, New Jersey, South
Dakota, and Indiana as a crane operator for them in the 1920's and early 30's.
Sadly, he died while on a job in Muncie, and the family stayed there to the
present. Many are buried in Elmridge and Beechgrove cemeteries. From that point,
we are all accounted for, but the mystery is-where in Ireland William's
father came from, and who were his relatives? William's father, John Carey, was in
the Minnesota 2nd calvary during the Civil War, and then settled in Morris,
Mn, where William was born, but died soon after in a blizzard. We have no record
at all of where in Ireland John was born in about 1844, nor can we find any
record of any Carey relatives of his in the US or Ireland. Just thought someone
might have a family tale about a long lost Carey uncle or brother, who was
in the Civil War, or a Carey who worked for Indiana Bridge in Muncie. Good luck
in your Carey research!
Other names of interest TRULLENDER, SHERLIN, HEWITT, O'RIORDAN, GALVIN,
ANDERSON
Thanks, Linda

Hello All,
Someone on the list was researching the Ogles. I am also looking for Ogles
and found that the Elizabeth Ogle 18 and Rachel Ogle 16 are the daughters of
David Ogle and Sarah Jennings. Sarah David Ogle's first wife. They married
6 Nov 1823 in Grayson Co, VA.
Elizabeth brn abt 1832 and Rachel abt 1834.
They were born before David and Ogle and Nancy Gibson West Ogle married 10
Mar 1836 in Henry Co.
