Hello Listers,
I am new to the List. I am researching the Leyland family who settled
Delaware County c. 1890, they migrated from St Helens, England. They had
six children during the 1890's. Alfred and Harriet are still listed on
the 1930 Census at Center Township, Eaton, Delaware. By then they were
in the 70's. I am trying to track down their death dates, and also two
of their unmarried children, John Leyland and Harriet Leyland.
Anyone with information or interests in the family please get in contact.
How do I go about checking death records in Delaware Co. Is there anyone
who can help me regarding death records look-ups ?
Many thanks,
Sean Leyland
I have found them in Ridgeville, Farmland and Albany and another person said
the same thing about Hartford City. So far I have went back 3 generations of
Gamester men who were all butchers. In 1880 their father was a butcher in
Wayne County. I think they had the monopoly on the meat markets. <G>
