Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I'll be happy to check my 1910 city directory if you'll give me the name.

Does anyone have info on the Applegate or Justice families? I have three different Applegate girls that married Justice men. But I can not find any info on what happened to them in Delaware Co. No birth or death records. Also I am trying to find info on a David Osborn listed on the Del. Co. Mount Pleasant Township 1850 Census. I lost track of him after that. He was my G Great grandmother's (Elizabeth Ann Harman) Step-father. She is listed on the census as living with him, but I can't find them after that. I know Elizabeth Ann had a child in 1847 and is on the 1850 census but after that I have nothing. Is anyone else working on these lines??
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Merry Christmas!
Gina Richardson
You people in Delaware county are absolutely the best...I am sitting here in
Michigan watching you go to work on my inquiries...re" 2 miles n.e. of
Muncie" I love Indiana people...thanks a bunch! No body can hide in your
county....we're gonna find them all!! :)
Thanks barb
Ok if you hold the map the right direction, Hamilton Township is north, and
Delaware Township is North East Directly East is Liberty Township. I goofed
on the last message. I live on the south east side of Muncie, and have been
doing alot of research in Delaware Township Also, so if you need anything
from here just give me a holler. I will try and hold the map the right
direction!!! Merry Christmas!

Harrison is your best bet, it is North East, I have the 1874 map of Delaware
County and North East exactly is Harrison, By the way when I've researched
the Harrison Township census' I have seen several Runyons.

In 1910, 2 miles northeast of Muncie would probably be within the bounds of
Center Township. From the center of Muncie ~ Hamilton, Delaware and Liberty
Townships are 3 miles.
Lou
You mean to tell me that any of these townships could be exactly
TWO MILES NORTHEAST OF MUNCIE? If i didn't live so far away
in Tennessee i would come and witness this myself.

Kell,
Wouldn't that depend on when you're talking about, considering how far our Muncie had incorporated at any given time?
Do you have any more info to go on?

Subject: [SCTCDN] Post 1901 Census - Press Release of Professor Bill Waiser on line
Greetings All.
As promised in my message on Wednesday, I have placed online the full text of Professor Bill Waiser's press release held 18 December 2002 at the University of Saskatchewan. The press release was in response to the long awaited response by Information Commissioner John M. Reid to Professor Waiser's complaint about Statistics Canada's refusal to allow public access to records of the 1906 Special Census of the Western Provinces.
The Information Commisioner found that access to the withheld records is authorized pursuant to paragraph 19(2)(c) of the Access to Information Act by reference to subsection 8(3) of the Privacy Act and s.6(d) of the Privacy Regulations. On 18 October 2002 he recommended that Statistics Canada release the requested schedules.
Chief Statistician Ivan P. Fellegi advised the Information Commissioner he does not intend to follow that recommendation. In so doing we believe that he is breaking the laws of Canada.
No public servant, no matter how highly placed, is above the law. We call upon Industry Minister Allan Rock to immediately direct the Chief Statistician to transfer care and control of these records to the National Archivist for subsequent public access.
Professor Waiser's press release is accessible through a link on the Post 1901 Census Project website, at the URL following my signature.
Happy Hunting.

Here is a link I found that someone might be interested in.

It has links maps for all the North eastern states there for census and county formation maps.

Not only is this site the best, people in Indiana are the best! My research
has taken me all over and I have never been treated as well as I have been in
Delaware County. The people in the Muncie Public Library have bent over
backwards to help, also. Thanks so much for ALL you do! This site is great!
Barbara in Michigan
I gotta tell you folks - I belong to 25 other lists and visit as many county sites. Kelly's could be black on black and it would still be 1000 times better than ANY other I've ever visited. The ease of use, the amount of information offered and the constant upkeep so far out does any other that it's unbelievable. I brag about it all the time. I mentioned the Delaware County site to the gals in the genealogy department at the Muncie Public Library and they told me they use it all the time. You can't beat a recommendation like that!

Hi Jan,
The text at the top should be gold not red, unless you are referring to the very
few links to the other counties, ect....... I am going to redesign the county
page probably in January anyway, but in the meantime if you are having a hard
time reading it you may want to just highlight the text. For those who are not
familiar with that, just left click on your mouse and run the cursor over the
text and it will highlight it to white.

Thank you and the others for all the good information and the time you
spend on our behalf
I do have a problem reading the red print on the black background. Its
attractive, but difficult to read. I wonder if others have that problem too
or if its just me.
