Jim,
My James Madison Clevenger was born about 1870. He married Venora A. Mosier
of Randolph County, Union Township. This same J.M. was the son of David, son
of Thomas. Venora was the daughter of Walter and Minnie (Parker) Mosier.
Would you have anything on this James Madison Clevenger?
Thank you.

Jim:
I have done a fairly extensive, documented research on the Delaware County
Tuttle's. "My" Tuttle's westward journey was NJ>PA>OH>IN which I can trace
back to circa 1810. The several Tuttle families seem to have some common
names across the generations. Rebecca and Darlin (male) to name just two.
All this is still in bits and pieces in my brain and in the computer. Let
me know if you are interested in the Delaware County folks. It will
motivate me to organize what I have.
Hope this helps.
Talk with you later.

Are the Shafers you were looking for from around Yorktown area? John Shafer
(1842-1908) born and died in Delaware county, married Mary Ellen Howell
daughter of Daniel P Howell. John Shafer's family are well documented in
Delaware County history.

Cynthia,
My great aunt June Strange married a "Dot" Clevenger and had two

Hi, everyone. I am new to this list.
The families I am searching in the Delaware Co. area, Harrison Twp. mostly,
are: CURTS; ADAMSON; MEDSKER; SMITH; GASS; and McKOWN/McKOWEN/McCOWAN. Do
any of you have these surnames in your family? I have extensive research on
some, very little on others (esp. SMITH). Thanks. Viki Sigler, Fort Wayne,

John & Margaret Cunkel,KUNKEL from York County, Washington Twp had sons
Benjamin, David, John, Joseph, Jacob and sister Christina. A group of letters
were found in my mothers attic and they were from Delaware County Indiana
most of them to brother Benjamin. It appears that David was in Delaware
County as early as 1839 and several of the brothers lived there off and on. I
have a tax slip that Benjamin was there in the 1840's and the 1860 Indiana
census shows David, Joseph, and Jacob I believe. The census says Union Twp,
Delaware County.
These letters were found in my mothers attic in Perry County PA and it
appears that we are decended from Benjamin's side of the family. We know
literally nothing of the rest of the family of brothers. We have found John
and Margarets grave here in PA as well as their son Joseph. We have also
found a grave for a John Kunkel that we believe to be the brother as well.
But we believe that David and Jacob stayed in Delaware county and are buried
there somewhere. We would love to find some of these relatives!!

Hell Again Michele
I went over my things again for the Morris family and I cannot find a Thomas
Benton. Nathaniel Morris was born in Indiana in 1843. His wife was Susan
Bishop and they had the following children; John Benjamin, Clarence,
Emery, Charles, Margaret and Jane. Nathaniel died in Nov. 1912 in
Deaware Co and is buried in Collins Cemetery.
John Benjamin's wife was Emma Jean Reynolds and they were married in
Delaware Co in June 1901. Their children are as follows; Homer, Twin
Daughters, Lucile, Lee, Nellie, Elmer, Simon, Samuel, John B. Jr., Vaniese,
and another daughter.
I wish I could help more. Keep my names handy and email me if you can find
a match.....I'll keep yours handy too.
