Hi: I don't know of any relationship either. David was a prosperous farmer
and member of the Baptist church. If Jason's parents had died, he might be
"on the county". The Campbell's also sometimes have family teens working on
the farms. David's brother Abraham, for instance, had his wife's 16 year
old brother Dow Thompson living with them and working the farm for awhile.
I'll keep an eye out. David Campbell had two prior wives who died, Susan
Moffett and Ellen Buckles, so your Jason Bodle could be related somewhere.
I'll keep your email as well to see if I come up with something. I seem to
be finding new information all the time. Good hunting.

Floyd,
I really do not know much about the Smoot side, Do you have a James
Smoot? I do know of James and Margaret had a daughter of Mary J. b. 1846
and a son Jonathan b. Jun 1850. I really do not have much more info
at all about this family. They could very well have gone to MO. I do
know that her brothers Leonard T and Amaziah and Joseph L. Fowler and
Jane Waite her sister were in MO for a while then migrated further to KS
then to OK.

I am looking for Margaret Luce/Luse m. James Smoot 10 Aug 1845.
Margaret is the daughter of Joseph Luce and Electy Fowler and was born
22 Oct 1824. The 1850 census shows that Margaret and James moved to the
Washington Twp of Elkhart county, next door to Margaret's cousin
Charles Fowler and to Aurilla ? Fowler Gannett Wade/Waid, Charles'
mother. I then have picked up the trail the have moved to Iroquois Co
in IL. A land patent in 1859. His brother-in-law, Jonathan Luse, also
has a land patent in Iroquois Co.,IL.
thanks for all the good thoughts!

Need genealogy of Elizabeth WINDER/S who married Jesse Chalfant in Ross
Co
OH in 1826. They moved to DELAWARE Co IN in 1837. I have a list of
their
children and will share info. I think they were Quakers.

Could anyone help me with these families? James M. Freeman migrated to
Delaware County from Woodford County, Kentucky with his family. Also his
daughter and her husband John A. Bright of Mercer County, Kentucky migrated to
Delaware County about the same time. I have the names of their children and
will share if someone has any information on these families.

Crystal,
This is interesting. Are you saying that Judith Luce Campbell and Adam had
two additional children, Abraham and Benjamin? When and where were they born?
Sometime after Adam Campbell died, Judith moved back from Douglas Co, IL, and
married Daniel Parkison Howell (his second wife) on 7 Aug 1872 in Delaware
County. I have a copy of their marriage license. She died on 1 Jan 1894 in
Cammack, Mt Pleasant township, Delaware Couunty, Indiana of a severe stroke.
She had a a paralyzing (spelling?) stroke two years before.
You can read a bio of Daniel P Howell in the 1894 Delaware County history OR
there is a write up about him in the newly published Delaware County history.
Adam Campbell was born in 1802 in Virginia. Judith was born 2 July 1825 in
Miami County, Ohio.
Do you know where the "Buckles" name comes from? Abraham Buckles was a
preacher who lived in Champaign/Miami County and moved to Delaware County with
several of the same families that settled in Mt Pleasant township. Daniel P
and his first wife, Mary Ann had a son named Abraham and they nicknamed him
"Buckles".
I am interested in any other information that you have about Judith. If you
are interested in anything I have from the Howell line, I will be very happy
to share.

About whom? I have had a lot of responses to this offer for look-ups. I
can not even find that I have responded to you yet, and I have saved them
all. I think someone else told you of a male with the last name of
Compliment. I remember seeing it, but I did not save it. You may be
thinking I am that person. My offer was for info in a yearbook, which is
not only very limited, but at the time one is in High School, the following
questions would seem strange ones to ask:
>Was he married and did he have any kids? I am working on a family tree
>and he was my husbands1st cousin. Any information will be helpful.
I could not find any Compliments. I do remember going to school with a
Diane Compliment. At this moment I cannot put a face with her. Will check
my yearbooks for that!

Kelly,
In looking through my books and CD's I don't find anything for Lucy
Hammond and John M. Davis. I found a Lucy Hammond who m. October 23,
1820, Union County, OH to Winthrop Chandler. And in the History of
Ohio there is a mention of a John M. Davis who was president of Rio
Grande College from 1887-1919 and he died November 11, 1920. I know
the dates don't match, but the names did so I thought I would pass it
on.
Gina
Thanks Gina,
I am hoping to make it back to my hometown in Grant Co, the first week of
July and spend some time reseaching in Madison and Delaware Counties . I
know there has to be something out there somewhere on these two
individuals. Unfortunately i live in Chattanooga,Tn and they do not carry
microfilm for other states. But if i can help anybody reseaching Tennessee
ancestors, i will be glad to, next time i head to the library!

I have had so much response to my offer for look-ups in Muncie Central HS
Yearbooks, that I thought I might see if anyone is able to help me with some
information I am seeking.
My Father was Don Knecht, b. 25 Sept 1911, in Muncie. He married a girl by
the name of La Vercia "Babe" Field in either the late 20's or early 30's.
They had one child, a daughter, named Barbara (think he spoke of her as
Bobbie Jo). After their divorce, he only saw her until she was 3 yrs. old.
After that, all contact was lost. What I am trying to find out has 2
purposes. I would like to be able to better expand my Genealogy with some
names and dates . I would also, and mostly, like to see if there is any way
I can connect with Barbara. She was raised, I was told, by her maternal
grandparents. I don't have any names there except that I assume that their
last name was Field. I have been looking for her now for a few years, but
to no avail. Wish I could have found her while my Dad was still alive.
Hope I can at least find her while I am!
If anyone out there has any clues for me, I would be most grateful!!
Best regards,
Sarah A. Jones

Hello Muirlee,
There is an Eva Rhodes as a Sophomore in the 1928 yearbook. That is the
only one I find. Does this name ring a bell?
