I am compiling information on 1860-1870. The
following was found in the DeKalb Democrat for April
26, 1866. A legal notice stted taht George W. Woodcox
and Byron A. Woodcox were appointed aministratiors for
the estate of Cornelius Woodcox, late of Concord
Township.
Since there has been fires at the Court House, I am
not sure if there would be probate records or not.

Can anyone tell me if there was a paper published
containing obituaries for the St. Joe/Newville area
in 1864? I am lookong for information on Cornelius
Woodcox who died 20, March, 1864 and is buried in
the old Evergreen cemetary in Newville, DeKalb, IN.
His wife died sometime in 1882/3 (Mary/Polly Saylor)
and is buried there also. I do not know where she
lived after her husband died but must have been in
the area. Any help would be appreciated. GWEN
