You may try an inquiry to the Public Library in Butler, DeKalb County,
Indiana. For some reason they seem to have more records than the Historical
Society at Auburn. At least that is where we got the most information. Norm.

Subject: [INDEKALB-L] Need help on this line-corrected posts
Previous posts by me had some errors
I have found my CRAWFORD connection in Allen County in 1880.
I found my grandfather Benjamin F. Harris in Whitely County on 1900
census
with his spouse Clara M.. Crawford.
My query is that my father Benjamin F. Harris, Jr. was b in Butler,
DeKalb
County 17APR1893.
I can find no evidence that they were in DeKalb County because most
records
from that era are not available.
My Grandfather, BENJAMIN F. HARRIS b 1857 in PA.. often, if not most of
the
time went by the name FRANK HARRIS or FRANKLIN HARRIS, not Benjamin.
Any record of him being in DeKalb County in 1890s will be appreciated. He
was a Blacksmith by trade.
RHarris from ice-covered Charlotte, NC.
