Hi, Donna
Since the GENWEB pages are hosted by independents and
usually not associated with any special group, I am
giving you a number of options. Many of these deal
directly with history or genealogy and are not story
oriented. But they are good organizations. ( You may
consider joining the Pioneer Settlers of the DeKalb
County Genealogy Society-if you have not done so.
There is a Genealogy Society for DeKalb County.
The address is P. O. Box 6085, Auburn, In. 46706
here is the address of a membership form:

There is a Garrett Historical Society. I am not sure
if they publish a newsletter: but here is there
address:
GARRETT HISTORICAL SOCIETY
PO BOX 225
GARRETT , IN 46738
CONTACT: NANCY LANTZ
PRESIDENT: John Mohre
DeKalb County Historical Society. (They have started
publishing an excellent newsletter and they are
working towards a County Musuem to be located in
Butler, Ind.)
DeKalb County Historical Society
(The Society does have a P. O. Box number but I do not
know the number.

I just read the poem that was
posted.
Reminded me that I would like
to get my Mom here in Kansas
a gift membership to "Something"
that will inlcude a newsletter
with stories in it....
Her family has been in DeKalb Co
since it began. I think she would
be pleased to see our family
name supporting an
Historical Society or Genaological
Society.
What is available?
Thank you, Donna Seidel
