I would just like to say thank you very much, I feel honored to have my link
on some of my closest ancestors county page! By the way, I'm Kathy Huish, AKA
Firstmom.
My Firstmom's Genealogy Resources & Records page has over 2100 categorized
genealogy links (Including a page for Indiana) so feel free to stop by and
browse
http://members.tripod.com/~KHuish/index.htm
My DeKalb county ties are :
Henry LUMM b. Nov 24, 1860 Kassel Germany, Married May 8, 1884 Auburn, DeKalb
Co to Martha Ann Bassa/Basse/Bassie/Besse/Bessa...we've seen all those
spellings in DeKalb Co records, though family members thought it was Massey!
I still have no idea what her true name was.
Henry died Jan 30, 1920, Martha Ann January 27, 1954...meaning my mom got to
know her great-grandmother and has been able to tell stories of her which we
love!
Their children:
Louis Lumm d. abt 1945 in Chicago
Conrad "Coonie" Lumm b. Feb 11, 1888 d. Nov 1970 per SSDI, Kansas
Lena M. (Lumm) Rump b. 1893 Garrett d. 1943 Gary IN
Alfred Lumm b. Oct 17, 1899 (TWIN) d. 1953
Albert Lumm b. Oct 17, 1899 (TWIN) d. 1986
Walter Lumm b. 1902 d. 1953
Mary Elizabeth (Lumm) Moore b. 1885 died June 1955, married to James Albert
MOORE, son of John Moore and Julia DEVORE.
Mary Elizabeth Lumm-Moore was my g-grandmother, daughter Esther Ruth Moore b.
1906, d. 1969 married John PLUMMER of PA>Gary, IN, other daughter was Hilda
E. Moore who married Thomas Sefton.
If any of these names ring a bell with anyone let me know! Hopefully mom and
I will find time again this summer to head back to DeKalb county to do some
more searching now that I know more of what to look for. We tried in my first
couple months of genealogy obsession...now years later I am more prepared!
Thank you
Kathy Huish
