I am looking for the death and burial of Charles Corbin, his wives and children. I believe
his first wife Sarah died. He married second Rosa Trisch. They apparently divorced because
Rosa Corbin married him (again). I hope to locate relatives with pictures I can copy and
get some details of this Corbin family.
The 1850 census shows a widowed Mary Corbin age 62 with children Abraham (26), Charles
(24), Mary (23), and Elizabeth (17), living in Smithfield twp, DeKalb County, Indiana.
The 1860 census still has the mother Mary and daughters Elizabeth and Mary in the
household. Abraham is married to Flora, and Charles is married to Sarah with a daughter
Mary and a son Charles.
The 1870 census has Abe and his family at Wilmington, DeKalb County. Charles age 42, his
second wife, Rosa Trisch Corbin age 42, Mary M age 11, George D D age 10, and Charles'
sister Mary age 42 are in Union township, Waterloo post office.
By 1880 Charles is apparently deceased. Rosa age 53 and sister in law Mary age 52 are
living in Waterloo, DeKalb County. Son George D age 20 is living and working for the
Barker family. George is in the 1900 census in Smithfield township with wife Margaret.
They were married seven years and had no children.
In 1900 and 1910 Rosa has gone to reside with her sister Julia Trisch Kline in Barry
County, Michigan.
