I might be able to add something to the FLENAR discussion.
Aaron Franklin HOLMES (1854-1908) married Almira Elizabeth FLENAR
(1854-1918) on June 3, 1875 in Kosciusko County, IN. Almira was born in
DeKalb County, IN. Aaron's sister, Celia Ann HOLMES, was my
great-grandmother. Aaron and Almira are buried in the Franklin Cemetery,
Seward Township, Kosciusko County.
Another of Aaron's sisters, Viola HOLMES, married Franklin FLENAR on July
23, 1881 in Kosciusko County. I know very little about this couple, but
there is a Frank FLENAR (1887-1904) buried in the Franklin Cemetery, and I
have wondered whether he might be a son of Viola and Franklin. I would be
glad to share information. You can contact me through the list or directly

Subject: [INDEKALB] Flenar
Hello,
Someone?inquired about the Flenar family and I have?a little information
that may or may not be useful.
My ancestors George and Margaret (Sipe) Long had a daughter named Mariah
that married a Flenar.? I don't know his given name but they had seven
children: Frank, George, Wesley, Will, Marzell, Elmira, and Dessie.
This information was left by my Great Grandfather Henry Grube of Auburn
Indiana.? His mother was?Elizabeth Long (the sister of Mariah Flenar).?
Their father, George Long (b.1798 -?d.1876), came to Auburn, IN, in the
1840s.
