OBITUARY. Mr. Nicholas Wierman was born in Adams County, Penn., and died at his home in
Corrunna, Indiana, Tuesday night, Nov. 7, 1893 at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 7
days. He leaves a wife and four children, Erastus, Judson and Relefia Wierman and Mrs.
Wm. Finley of Brady to mourn his loss. He moved to Ohio in 1833 and from there to Indiana
in 1880. He took a severe cold while attending the World's Fair and died a few days
after his return. He joined the M.E. church in 1854 and was highly esteemed by all who
knew him. The funeral services were conducted by the Masonic order of Kendalville of
which he has been a member a number of years.
source: This clipping was found in a family Bible originally belonging to Elizabeth
Homer. The Bible is now in the possession of the Butler / Clear Fork Valley Historical
Museum in Butler, Richland County, Ohio.
