Hi Aunt Lorna,
I was thinking that Jacob Miller was probably born in DeKalb County. I
think that Michael and Catherine Miller came about 1836 (at least Michael
may have). Of course this doesn't clear up the fact that Minerva and John T
were both in Ohio when they married their respective partners in 1846.
Just wanted to say I saw this post!
Dan

Subject: [INDEKALB-L] Monroe Family
Hello -
I'm new to this list and wonder if anyone knows about Monroe family
reunions
which were (and may still be) held in DeKalb County. I have a copy
of an invitation sent to my grandmother, Mary Miller Fetters, who was the
daughter of Jacob Miller and Mary Elizabeth Monroe. The invitation was from
the early 1900's.
Is anyone doing research on the Monroe family which would include Mary
Elizabeth?
I'm looking for her parents, brothers and sisters. Jacob L.
Miller was born in 1843 in PA and died in 1926. His wife, Mary Elizabeth
Monroe headstone shows dates of 1846-1909. They are buried in the Leek
Cemetery, Okemos, Michigan.
Thank you for any help you can give.
Sincerely,
Lorna
