Hi Nancy,
If you aren't already familiar with it, you should go to Eckhart Public
Library, in Auburn. They have a wonderful genealogy room, and very helpful
people.
Also, I am researching the name Wood. My grandmother's maiden name was
Wood, and I've been trying to find out more about her family without much
luck. Her father's name was Martin James Wood, and his father's name was
Aaron Wood? They were in Noble County, IN. I'm not sure where they moved
there from. New York I think.
Yours in Christ,
Debbie

I'm planning a research trip that will include Dekalb County. If you have
any suggestions or know of places I shouldn't miss, please let me know via
this maillist. The surname I'll primarily be looking at is JACOBS and the
time period is around 1835-1850. I'm hoping to locate birth info for my gg
grandpa and his twin brother in 1840/41.
Thanks in advance!
Nancy Wood
