Good Morning,
Thanks for writing, the second Peter Fair was a wagon master with his
brother Henry. They were taking a Wagon Train to Oregon when Henry died from
Cholera in Nebraska. He was buried according to family legend along the
North Platte river and Peter continued on. There are many Fairs in NE,
Peter, Sr. Aunt Anna Cornell lived in Verdin, NE. Some of Henry's and
Charles's children came on to KS.
My line originated with the first wife of Peter Sr. there has been some
confusion with the mother of these children and where they were born. I have
not been able to "Prove" her marriage either. I have found reports that
Charles who was the brother of Henry and half brother of Peter, Jr. was born
in PA. The other older children reportedly were born in MD. I have seen
census with both for Charles.
