My gg aunt was Maria or Mary Frank KRUEPER. She married Bernard KRUEPER.
They had at least the following 4 children:
-Florence Krueper, born June 20, 1878
-Mary Katherine Krueper, September 20, 1880
-Joanne Patricia Krueper, born April 27, 1889
-Samuel Mendalin Krueper, born December 6, 1885
All the baptism records came from St. Mary's in Avilla.
When my great great grandfather John Frank died in 1895. The application
for will said Mary KRUEPER was living in Garrett, IN.
I am checking to see if anyone on the mailing list has ties to the KRUEPER
Family.
Thanks for your help. Steve Frank, Tiffin, OH
Hi Lucy;
Please accept my apology as I just discovered that my great grandfather's
last name was NOT KOLBY but rather KOBI. Old family pictures had it listed
as Kolby as did my grandmothers Obituary. However, newly discovered and even
older pictures have it as Kobi. You might even see Coby, Cobi, or Koby.
Their children's names were Henry (Jr.), Elizabeth, Ann, Mary, Elsie, and
Irene. All other facts are reportedly accurate too.
THAN YOU SO MUCH...
STEVE

Steve, I am having a hard time trying to find the
deaths and obits of Your Henry and Maria. I have
tried all different spellings of the surname.
I am wondering if there was an August Kolbe, Hurshal
Kolbe, Stanley Kolbe or a Elizabeth Bush in the
family.
I found an obit for August Kolbe who came from Germany
as a young man.

Lucy,
Is this something we can do at home, or would we have to meet someone
somewhere?
Would it be a "few" pages at a time (per volunteer), a whole township, or
the whole county?
Are the census records from a printed source, or from microfilm?
Cemetery records, will this be preparing the records for online, or going to
the cemeteries?
I may be interested in helping out, but the only time I have available is
late night, after the kids are in bed, so work would have to be done from
home.

Are you working on these cemetery's, Roxanne? Or is someone else working on
them?

Hi Lucy,
Depending on when the work can be done and the equipment needed, I am
interested in helping.

The 1860 Census has been completed and submitted for the Web Page.
Thanks to Lynn Kaiser.
Is anyone interested in taking on the 1870 and 1880 Census. Working
with numbers is hard on the eyes and needs two people working on the
project. One to type and another to proof read the numbers.
For the Cemetery records, I am not sure about the work load of
Roxanne. Are you working on these cemetery's, Roxanne? Or is someone else
working on them?
Thanks for the suggestions. support and encouragement.

Hello
In regards to what I would like to see at
the Indekalb web site, I would love to see
Newville Cemetery transcribed as well as
1860-70 and 80 census transcriptions. I
would volunteer myself if it weren't for the 2000
miles that separates me from my ancestors
home. I know this is not a small undertaking
and I do appreciate the wonderful work all of the volunteers have done
to this point.
Also, is there any office or contact to
the Newville cemetery that I could get Info on
a pair of headstones that bare the simple words
"mother" and "father" ?
Keep up the good work !
Thank you
Steve

I recently posted a search for information on Henry (Fritz or Frederick) and
Maria (Mary) Kolby. It appears the last name may actually be KOBY. He worked
for the B&O Railroad in the late 1800's to the early 1920's or 30's.
Reportedly he was in the "Round House" in Altona. They may have lived in
Keyser Township. They may have had 6 children, Henry JR., Elsie, Lizzie,
Irene. Irene was my grandmother, DOB 2/28/1902.
Looking for birth, death, cemetery, and all other information.
