I would be interested in sharing info on the FUNK family.
My wife is descended from MARTIN VAN BUREN FUNK, and his daughter, Catherine
(Funk) MILLS, (Allen Co - Harlan area.).
I have been in contact with a lady who believes MVB Funk may be first cousin
(?) to John Quincy Adams Funk of DeKalb Co. but misplaced her info.
I have some info on JQA Funk that she sent me.
(McQUEEN family - by chance come from Southern IN?)

I know that the JQA Funk of DeKalb was a decendent
(Son ) of William Funk. So far I have not been able
to connect with the William. Our Jacob (great
grandfather) came from Lehigh County Pa to Holmes
County, Ohio and then to DeKalb County, Indiana. He
was born about 1772 in Lehigh County
McQueens came from New York, Onondaga County.
I have contact with a Richard Funk in Texas who is
related to the JQA. He has done a lot of research.
Would you mind if I send him your email?

Hello all,
I am researching Lydia LENARDSON and her husband William H. MOORE. They
both lived in Syllvania, Ohio, born 1840. Married in Whiteford, Mich.-which
is on the state line. They moved to Dekalb Co. in 1861 right after their
marriage.
Willia H. MOORE is listed as a captain in the Civil War on the back of a
photograph. Unknown reegiment...but a William H. Moore is listed in the
39th Indiana Reg.
Their first child, Dora Estella MOOORE was born in 1864, in Waterloo,
Indiana.
THen the family moved back to Toledo, Ohio, where William H. MOORE had a
drug/drygoods store until his death in the 1880's of TB.
Would love to know what the pull was to move to Indiana, and anything else
about Lydia and William MOORE.
THanks, Mimi

Barbara. Thanks for the great list! Pat in Muncie
I am searching for Mary KROEPER who was living in Garrett, IN in April 1895.
I would appreciate any help from the group in regard to cemetery look ups.
She was my gg aunt and would have been Catholic. May be records of her in
Catholic church records in Garrett, IN. She was Mary FRANK from Putnam
County, OH. I would have many FRANK ancestors and descendants to share.
Thank you for your help. Steve Frank

Hello:
Mary Polly Boyle married David Brookens Knight in Marion Co, OH. Moved to
DeKalb County in 1837. Their daughter Samantha Rhoda Knight married Augustus
Jenkins Hull in DeKalb County in 1857.
They had 8 children. My grandmother is Nettie Hull who married Percy Hess in
1899. They moved to Painesville OH in early 1900's.
I know some about Boyle/Knight but want to know more about David Brookens
Knight.
Thanks,
Pam
