Could anyone give me directions to the Evergreen Cemetery in Newville - from
the intersection of 101 & 8? I have never been there. Is it a large
Cemetery? Is anyone generally around on a Saturday afternoon from whom I
could get directions to individual graves?
Thank you

My DeKalb County names are BECHTOL, DEAN and WHITEHURST.
Walker DEAN moved from Ohio to Newville and died there in1897. His daughter,
Mary Melissa Dean Braumiller move there sometime after 1876 and Later Married
John WHITEHURST. Her daughter Lulu Braumiller married Adam Frank BECHTOL in
Newville on 4-2-1893. They lived in Hicksville, OH until her death in1899.
He and his second wife later moved to Garrett. F.Dean Bechtol, my father and
the son of Frank and Lulu lived in Garrett until his death on1-10-1963. I
would be glad to hear from anyone with connection to these families.

Thanks for this opportunity. My Oberlins and Wagoners migrated from Stark
Co., Ohio and the Cospers were from Vermont and New York. My original
settlers were John and Margaret Oberlin Waggoner. Their son, Josiah, married
Lucretia Cosper. They are found in Steuben and DeKalb Counties.

Hi Carolyn,
According to my GG Grandfather, William Lockhart, who was the son of Jane (McBride) & James Lockhart, Richard McBride was Jane's brother and their parents were Roseannah (Greenfield) and Robert McBride. I have a little more information if you would like it. I'm not sure if it is all true, but so far what he has said has been right. William wrote a story to leave behind for his ancesters, it is interesting!!! According to the story, Roseannah & Robert had 5 children: Jane, Robert, Richard, John, & David. You can email me direct if you like at roxanne.romine(a)gte.net - I will help anyway I can. I'd love to know more about Rachel & David's family, too, I noticed the connection when I did a search at the DeKalb County Site. It's such a great site!!!! I only have Emma & Mary as their children & nothing after that. I'm sending this to the list so all can see it. I thought there might be more McBride Descendant's out there!!! Oh, I just remembered how it went all the way across the page the last time I sent it. I wonder why? It was okay when I saw it in the email form. Oh well, guess I'll try it again.
Roxanne :-)

I, too, am descended from Richard MCBRIDE & Symantha SMITH, but through
their son David MCBRIDE. I have some information about Symantha SMITH's
ancestry, but none about Richard MCBRIDE's.
Is it possible that Richard MCBRIDE is related to the Jane MCBRIDE who
married James LOCKHART? Roxane? Kes?

Roll Call is a great idea! My GGgrandparents lived

WAGERS, CAMPBELL, LAKE and SHAFFER. What happened to dau Nancy? I need
some dates and am happy to share what I have.
I was glad to see your response to the DeKalb Co IN website Roll Call.
Isn't that a great idea! I will try to answer this afternoon. Have you
had any more breakthrus on your genealogy project? I have very
recently bought a house in Ludington, and am quite overwhelmed at the
thought of moving. I will be leaving here next week to take a load of
stuff and close the deal. I don't expect to be there long, but will
come back here - there is still much to do here - and hope to settle in
at Ludington mid September. I look forward to getting to
know the two of you, and filling in some more of the blanks of our
family history.
