It's fun doing look ups. I get almost as much excitement helping
someone
else break through that "brick wall" as if it were my own. You don't owe me
anything for doing it but try to remember your manners and this simple rule:
"If you are helped by someone, there is probably some one else you can
help. Say "thanks" and pass on the good deed. If you ask for a lookup or a
favor, be prepared to give one in return."
I agree with Barb about the fun of doing lookups and I'll incorporate her
simple rule into the heading of the Decatur Co lookup page. There's also
the element of serendipity: a couple of weeks ago, in response to a lookup
request, I looked through Myers family records on the LDS microfilms I'd
ordered (incidentally they cost $6.50 each and take two months to arrive if
one is locationally challenged). I found nothing of interest for the
requester, but stumbled on vital information concerning Harfords whom I'd
been chasing.
