Greetings and salutations, all...
I need to find the burial locations of John and Elizabeth Finnern. Both were
members of the 81st Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. Yes,
*both*. When the proper authorities figured out Elizabeth's true identity, instead
of sending her home or worse, they detailed her as a nurse for the remainder
of the war. They are believed to be buried somewhere in the Greensburg area.
If anyone can supply a cemetery name or any other information for that
matter, I'd be very sincerely grateful!
While I'm at it, if anyone can find Elizabeth's obituary in the Greensburg
News on July 19, 1907 entitled "Last Bugle Call", you'll be making several
researchers' days!
Many many thanks,
Melissa Strobel
