Lewis Harding's wife was Inez Daugherty, born Jan 1897, d/o Lewis H
and Hannah M (Beery) Daugherty, both born in WV, he in Barbour Co.
Inez appears with her parents and siblings Bertha 22, Grace 19, Grace
19, Jesse 18 and Francis 15 in Spokane WA in the 1910 census, with
all the children born in ID. In 1900 the family is living in Leland
Pct, Nez Percé Co ID.
It appears that Inez may have resumed her maiden name, for the WA
Death Index has an Inez Daugherty, age 79, who died in Spokane on 18
Jan 1977.

I've been a long time researcher of Decatur Co., IN, especially
the

This is my first posting and I'm asking if someone living in
Greensburg
might give me some information.
Are the probate records indexed?
I'm particularly looking for Lewis Albert Harding, died 1944 in
Indianapolis, but had survivors in Salt Creek Twp. If I can get
the book, page, etc., I
would send for the will.
Marion Co., IN isn't the most genealogy friendly courthouse, so I'm
hoping
Lewis's will was probated "back home" in Greensburg, where he was
an attorney
in the first part of the 20th century and wrote the history book
of Decatur
Co. I have his obits.
He would have been first cousin to my husband's grandmother,
Nettie Harding
Maynard.
I have his history book, but not the WPA index, much of the Harding
information, even more of the ABRAHAM information, and all of the
Maynard
information. What is missing is Lewis's twin daughters, no names
given, but both living
in WA when he died. He and his wife married in 1919, divorced
between their
children's birth, date unknown, and 1930.
