Yes, the Pleakenstalver's (and various spellings) are slightly in my line.
Lucinda Jones who was married both to Elijah Moore and then to William Moore
was mentioned in a probate for Fielding Pleakenstalver. Do you know why
Lucinda would have been mentioned? Was she related to the Pleakenstalver's?
Below is a note I made some time ago.
I don't know which Lucinda, but in "Court Records of Decatur Co., Ind.
1822-1848" by M. Holmes, Probate Order Book B, p. 85, there is an article
marked page 557. Lucinda Moore's claim against the estate of Fielding
Pleakenstalver deceased was presented to and allowed by the court, in favor
of Lucinda Moore for $6. Aug. 8, 1836. [Could Lucinda possibly be a
relative of Mr. Pleakenstalver? As of 9/2000, I have not entered any other
Lucinda Moore who would be old enough in 1836. Maybe Lucinda did not
receive all of her share of Elijah's estate when Fielding was one of the
administrators.]

Ramona,
Desparate or no, the existence of this notice shows that at
least the people named were thought (by someone else) to be
in Greensburgh around about September 1836. That might be a
clue you could use.
And BTW, the Luellen Plake is probably the person I have
in my database as "Louallen Pleak". Write me if interested, I
know a little about him.
