ignore the commas you will get the correct answer. I suspect
the commas are inserted to help you keep track. Hmmm, groups

The hyphen marks the break between white males and white
females. The rightmost 1 shows a female between 40 and 50
and there are none older and no free blacks. I make it,
MALES: none under 15, 1 15 -- 20, 1 20 -- 30, 1 40 -- 50,
and 1 80 -- 90.
FEMALES: none under 15, 1 15 -- 20, 1 40 -- 50, none older.
BTW, this page is very clear. Good choice of ancestor!
