Evans, Edward, Elizabeth, R3382, BLW #43878-160-55, VA line, sol was b in
June 1778, sol lived in Pittsylvania CTY Va. during the Rev. War where his
father's family lived, in 1828 sol was living in Indian Creek Twp. in
Lawrence Cty. IN. and sol d there 25 Oct 1837 or 10 Oct 1838 or 25 Oct.
1838 (all dates were shown) sol had m Elizabeth Edwards on 21 Feb 1801 or
26 Feb 1804 (both dates shown) in Lincoln Cty or knox Cty or Mercer Cty KY
(all were shown), wid appl BLW 1 Arp 1856 Lawerence Cty IN aged 72, in 1827
children were mentioned as then having large families (but they were not
named), sol's younger bro John Evans lived in Rockcastle Cty KY in 1832 and
stated he was aged 15 when sol enl.

The interesting thing here is that there were two Edward Evans about the
same age in the area. I believe this could be the Edward Evans "early
settler" from KY who I remember seeing in the deed book in Decatur when I
visited last summer. I remember being dissapointed because the top line of
the deed didn't say Edward Evans of Maryland.
