and, if the number of them is not excessive, the names and dates of
McKees buried in the Union Chapel Cemetery.

Hoffman:
I am doing research on my Smith family line. My great-great
grandfather was David B. Smith. He came to Decatur County (to the town
of Clarksburg) around 1848. He had lived in Fredericktown and
Washington, PA from 1841-until he moved west, traveling with his wife
and 4 children down the Ohio River by boat to Cincinnati, then by oxen
and a large wagon to Decatur County. I do not know if he was going to
Decatur County to live near siblings. does his name familiar to you?
His wife's name was Malinda Phillips Smith. I think they were married
in the Harrisburg area in the late 1830s but I have not found a marital
record yet. David Smith was originally from New Jersey and his father's
name was James F. Smith. It would be great if we were connected but I
know Smith is a very common surname. Hope you are doing well on your
searching.
Sincerely,
Sue Wright
