Hello.. My sympathy to you both.. !!
I hope you both have "updated" antivirus protection on your computers.
I had that virus, My virus protection was only 2 days out of date, and
did not catch this one.
It was NOT too hard to get rid of.. but I had some help.
Go to this site.. it will tell you ALL about it and how to get rid of it.

I received two messages yesterday, ostensibly in response to earlier
messages on the indecatu list, one of them titled Re: Further on
Epidemics in Decatur County (I've deleted the other and can't
remember its title). Both messages were from "dotbrn" and contained
no text, but only attachments labelled docs.scr and fun.pif. I
suspected that they might have been generated by a virus and I've now
received a message from "dotbrn" saying that she didn't send the
messages. If you too received these messages and opened them you may
need to discover whether you've picked up a virus with them. It's
wise never to open attachments arriving from an unknown source.
Normally rootsweb-based lists won't transmit messages with
attachments. If any members of the list have expertise in removing
viruses, you may wish to pass on advice to <dotbrn(a)softcom.net>.
