Subject: [INDECATU] Census records destroyed?
Date: Fri, 13 Apr 2007 19:12:06 EDT
Hi,
Does anyone know if any of the Decatur Cty census records from 1910 were
destroyed by fire, water, etc? I have ancestors that I know lived in
Decatur
Cty and were on the 1900 census, their property was sold by their
son-in-law in
August, 1910 but they didn't die until 1915 and 1918. I can't find them or
their son-in-law on any census records for any state using Heritage Quest.
I
thought they could have been living with their eldest daughter and
son-in-law so that's why I was looking for him. Looking at HQ, the records
seem to be
complete but I can't tell for sure. So that's why I wondering if any
records were lost.
Ancestors: Katherine and William Rolver, their eldest daughter was Gertrude
and her husband was Charles B. Ernstes. Gertie and Charles were married in
Millhousen, had their children in Westport and Greensburg but later moved
to
Indianapolis where they have many descendants living today.
Thanks for any help.
