I expect the FHC microfilm will be an image of the record book pages.
That will NOT be the transcription you received. But it may very well be
of the same record. It is very likely the original was discarded a
century ago. The official record is probably all that survives.
I found a similar situation with the marriage record of my wife's great
grandmother. The clerk's copy in very legible form was excellent, but
provided no new information. Nothing of parents.which I was especially
wanting. And the bride and groom's signatures were merely the clerk's
transcriptions.

But would the Family History Center just have the same record I was given?
Who would have the original? Some building in Indianapolis?
Thanks everyone for your help on this subject.

Given book and page you have all you need to get microfilm of the record
through the Family History Centers. My experience at the Decatur Courthouse
has also been very good. There is a very good chance the info you seek is not
included in the book. You should know that the books are NOT originals. They
are the County Clerk's transcriptions. They are the OFFICIAL records, but not
the original.
