Hi Barb,
First, no, the Myers line that I had from Family Search went back from IA through IL, IN,
PA and then I think to Germany. I haven't worked on any of this for nearly a year now
so I'm working from memory. From obits and census records I have my GGGrandfather
being born in IL, IN, and MO. I think this will take more work when time permits.
Here too is what my uncle sent:
My Great Grand father was Johnathan B. Drake 3/10/13 died in Jasper county 2/27/1878.
Married Rebecca [Stepfather's name Trivetts 1/27/1827 died Jasper county 9/27/1886.
Children:
1. William H. [my grandfather] Married Rosealtha Marks
2. James
3.Grant
4. Tama
5. Mary 1851-1919
6. George
7. Edna
Don't know that this is of any value, but ya never know.
Have a good one!
Dave

Thanks Dave, I appreciate it. Was your uncle from IN
originally?

I forwarded this to my uncle by marriage: Donald L Drake whose Father was a John Drake
who lived in Newton IA. Don is in his 70's so his Dad, who has been dead many years,
would have been 90-100+. He says he doesn't have any info that far back but will dig
out what he has and check.
My connection to Decatur Co. is pretty weak. I think a Myers lived there at one time,
but I haven't been able to get past an 1895 suicide in So. IA to track anything more.
That would have been a GGGrandfather, Geo. Myers.
Anyway, good luck with your search.
