I am a Walker, Magill, Wallace, Davis, Cooper, Holliday, all from the Indiana area
(Daviess, Martin, Orange) on both my Mother and my Father's sides. I am also related
to Fmoakes and contact him almost daily. My Cooper line is my father's mother Carrie
Mae Cooper, daughter of George WALKER Cooper (born in IN) and his wife Mary L. MAGILL
whose parents (mother was Lydia HOLLIDAY, father James MAGILL. (all in Hendrickson,
Butler, MO). George Walker Cooper's parents (mother was Mary Ann Bolton) and Caswell
Cooper. His parents were James Cooper and Jantha Mallonee who were in IN in the 1820's
and a daughter of William Mallonee and Nancy DAVIS who was born in Madison KY in ~1785).
Now on my mother's side, she descends from Rev. John Wallace (Josiah Wallace, ancestor
of Floyd Oakes is closely related), Rev. John's daughter Eleanor Wallace married Abner
Johnson, after her death, Abner married Sarah Jane (nee Hendrickson, widow of Joseph
Tempe). When Abner died she married Caswell COOPER my paternal grandmother Carrie Mae
Cooper's grandfather. Sarah Jane now Johnson moved the Cooper children George and
William to Hendrickson MO where little William was left with James Magill and Lydia
Holliday...are you confused?? I sure am. IF anyone can figure this out and tell me how my
George got the middle name Walker, or who his Grandmother Nancy Davis was, how my Magill
married a Holliday and where all of these folks fit with the info on a census for James
Magill that he was from PA, I would be very happy!!
