WASHINGTON DEMOCRAT, WASHINGTON INDIANA JANUARY 30, 1907
JEFF WALKER DEAD
Well Known Citizen of This City
Died unexpectedly at 9 O'clock
Tuesday Night
Jefferson; Walker died at 9'oclock
.Tuesday night at the home of his
brother John In this city. His death
was unexpected. Although he had
been in very poor health he was able
to be about and only Tuesday afternoon
visited the business section of
the city. He became seriously ill
shortly before 9 o'clock and died
within a short time.
Jefferson Walker was born in Daviess county.
fifty-two years ago. He
was never married. He was a
brother to William and John Walker
of this city and to Marlon Walker of
Vincennes. He was a member of St. Simon's
church.
His age here does not match his birth year of 1858 in the 1900 census, but the person who
reported information to the census taker was not always accurate. The death index also
gives his year of birth as 1855.
