WASHINGTON DAVIESS COUNTY DEMOCRAT MAY 27, 1911 PAGE 4
FARMER RETURNING FROM CHURCH DIES SUDDENLY
John T. Walker, a farmer living
about a mile and a half northeast of
Glendale, and a brother of William
Walker, saloon keeper of this city,
died suddenly about 11 o'clock Sunday
morning while about half way
home from--' St. Patrick's church
where he had been to attend the
morning services.
In company with William Whitesides,
James Smith and his niece,
Eva Harness, Mr Walker started"
home from the church. He was not
feeling well at the time. About
half way home he asked the driver
to hurry up, as he was feeling ill.
He was seated in the rear seat of the
carriage with his niece when he suddenly
fell over, dying within a few
minutes, Mr. Walker's health had
been bad for the last three months.
Before starting home Mr. Walker
complained about feeling ill, Heart
trouble is supposed to have been the
cause of his death.
Mr. Walker was fifty-nine years
old the 12th day of last January,
and was a widely known farmer of
Harrison township, where practically
all of his life was spent. For twelve
years he lived on a farm in Knox
county but moved back to his Harrison
township farm about twenty
years ago. He was married but
leaves no children. His wife is still
living. Besides William Walker, he
leaves another brother, Marion Walker,
also of this city.
Mr, Walker was a strict member
of the Catholic church, with his membership
at St. Patrick's, He belonged
to no orders. The funeral
was held Tuesday morning at 9
o'clock at St. Patrick's church and
the body was buried at the Glencoe
Cemetery.
This ties in with John Harness listed as a nephew with William T. Walker's family, and
also Eva Harness listed as a cousin to Lyda in newspaper articles.
