Thomas Jefferson Hopkins, age 51, died 4 Jan 1904 in Everett, Snohomish
Co, WA of Bright's Disease. The written documentation of death record is
viewable on
ancestry.com. He is listed as born in Indiana; married; worked
for the railroad and his residence was listed as Delta.
But I see on
ancestry.com there is a family tree for the Rutan Family and
they list this Thomas Jefferson Hopkins b. 22 Jun 1853 in Indiana; d. 1905
Everett, WA; son of William Riley Hopkins and Roxaleny Hyde; married to
Cinderilah Hibbs.
Thomas Hopkins, son of Patrick Hopkins and Elizabeth Mahala Raney, is shown
with his family on 1870 Census in Daviess Co, IN age 16. There are two
other Thomas Hopkins in 1880 in Indiana--one in Bartholomew Co and one in
Marion Co, IN.
The Washington Death Records 1891-1907, show two listings for the same man,
but one death date is listed as 4 Jan 1901, (born in MINN, an obvious
transcription error); and the other death date is 4 Jan 1904 (b. IN)
I don't know see positive proof we have the same Thomas J. Hopkins born in
Daviess Co, then dying in Everett, WA. Possibly needs more research unless
Lisa's Cunningham papers spell out more details?
