Age 90, of Owosso,Shawasse County, Michigan, went to be reunited with her husband and
Heavenly Father on Friday, April 23, 2010 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Lucille, along with her husband, held various pastorates in the Wesleyan Church. She also
worked for Memorial Healthcare as a nurse aide.
Funeral Services will be held 2 pm, Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Owosso Wesleyan Church,
with Pastor Wes Coffey officiating. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The
family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 8 pm, with
the family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, and on Monday at the church from 12 noon
until the time of the service.
Lucille was born on October 23, 1919 in Davis County, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and
Alma (Tomey) Wilson. She graduated from Bicknell High School with the class of 1937. She
then graduated from Bible Holiness Seminary in 1940, and later received a certificate of
music from Sherwood School of Music in Chicago, Illinois.
On March 30, 1940, she married John S. Dean, Jr. in Cincinnati, Ohio. He predeceased her
on February 23, 2010. She was a member of the Owosso Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty (Tom) Barks; son, David (Beth) Dean; adopted
daughter, Nan Montague; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Ermal
(Gloria) Wilson; and several nieces, nephews and loving family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, John; daughter, Joan Dean; three sisters; and one
brother.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hephzibah Ministries (Children's Home,
6601 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220-7606), or Memorial Healthcare Hospice.
