In the 1850 census of Daviess Co., Indiana look at William S. and Sarah Wallace. They have
a daughter Melissa born 1843. In the 1850 census look at Franklin Wather ( corrected as
Walker ) In the 1860 census Melissa is with Bemjamin F. Walker they married 1859 Daviess
Co., Ind. In the 1870 census of Daviess Co., Ind. Melissa has a son Franklin Walker born
1862. I think Melissa married Benjamin F. Walker in 1859. Has son Franklin-Frank in 1862.
Benjamin died between 1862 and 1865 then she married John G. Wallace. She was
Wallace-Walker-Wallace. Donna

I hope someone out here can help me. I'm searching for information on Melissa Walker
b. 6 Apr 1843, married John Gamabiel Wallace 16 Nov 1865. Her children are Charles W,
Jesse Mitchell, Iva Emmaline (my gg grandmother), Roy Compton, Sarah A and Clark T. All
census records from 1870-1920 show her living in Daviess County, IN.
I have found several family trees that reference John marrying a Melissa Wallace, which I
don't believe to be accurate based on the marriage record I found (unfortunately
doesn't list parents).
I would like to know anything at all about her life prior to marriage. I can't even
seem to find her parents names. I believe she was born in Indiana, likely Daviess County.
I believe she also died in Davies County possibly on 18 oct 1926.
