Thanks very much for your reply.
Some of the data you posted may be wrong. For example, I don't think JPS had a son
named "Tilman". I think this is a census taker's error-he may have gotten
the name mixed up with "Fleming". Adding to the confusion, on
"Fleming"s death cert. in Adair Cty., Mo., his name is listed as
"Flemon". Also, I now believe that the "James W." was actually named
"John Wesley". Names and dates and places of birth seem to change for this
family from one census to another. For eexample, the year of birth for my g-granddad,
Edward George Stewart, seems to be different for nearly every census, until he died in
1920. Also, in every census for JPS, he lists his bith stste as "Indiana". Yet,
in his application for the GAR in Adair Cty., Mo., he lists it as "Ohio". On his
death cert., the respondent (my grandmother) lists his bith state as "Ohio".
What really got my attention was your data for the death place/date of Martha Ann
Mcintosh. I show her marrying JPS on 18 Feb., 1847 in Ohio Cty., Indiana. Then, I show JPS
marrying Evalina Burris on 15 Aug., 1848. Evalina apparently died in 1871 in Daviess Cty.
JPS then married Precia jones Russell. I had assumed that Martha McIntosh must have died
shortly after marrying JPS.
So, do you have any source data concerning the death of Martha McIntosh.
Thanks very much again.
