I have never heard of the volume, Early Catholic Settlers, but I agree
with John's info on the volume, History of the Catholic Church in
Indiana. BTW I have seen and used that volume, History of the Catholic
Church in Indiana, at the Notre Dame Library in South Bend. Perhaps if
you requested that specific article through the local library Notre Dame
would send you a copy since the book is so old?

Dear Susan: These are two separate books. I don't have the citation
for the Early Catholic Settlers, but I have the second. It is: The
History of the Catholic Church in Indiana. Logansport, Indiana:
A.W.Bowen & Co., 1898. 2 vols. Your article on John Daily of Bogard
Twp, Daviess County, Indiana, is in Vol. 2, pp 334-335. John McMullen
