Surname: Myers, Killion, Tomey
-------------------------
Quoting from the Knox County History Book, First Edition, page 397, with
my notes between the stars **...**, it reads: "Most Knox County Myers families
descend from German farmer Elias Moyers (ca. 1735-1802) who, with his wife
Elizabeth, probably lived in Pennsylvania before settling in Lincoln Co.,
NC about 1770. Their" **four** "known children are Mrs. Jacob Link, Elias
Jr., John and Frederick. Elias Myers, Jr. (ca. 1760-1833), his wife, Dorothea
(Dolly) Fulbright (ca 1755-1833), and their eight children moved to Daviess
Co., IN in 1816 and have many descendants there." I am one of them and
I descend down though Elias Myers, Jr.'s line, to Daniel Myers who married
Mary Harrison Tomey
The book goes on to tell a little more of the families lines. The Fulbirght
Association can tell you more about "Dorothes (Dolly) Fulbright", Fulbright
was Vollbrecht before coming to America from Germany. The Fulbright web
site used to be at
www.concentric.net/~Mcclaran/fulbright.htm
Hope this helps.
