Hello everyone,
I found information about this team. The photo I have
lists the members as: Nolan(P), Ashby(C),
Railbourne(1st), O'Conners(2nd), Bryant(3rd),
Dietz(SS), Waggoner(RF), Wallace(CF), Yeager(LF).
The photo was taken on Sunday, 11 Aug. 1912- On this
day, The Washington Pennant(Greys), beat the
Evansville Goldblumes 1-0 at Woodlawn Park. Over 500
people were in attendance. Woodlawn Park is now a corn
field. I guess we could say it was a field of dreams.
If any of you have a descendent on this team let me
know!
Steve Yeager.

Hello Everyone.
I have a photograph of a baseball team.
My grandfather is one of the members of the team.
The team name is "Pennant" as is stated on the front
of the shirt. There are eight other members and a
coach.
I believe the photo was taken around 1909. It may be
a
baseball team formed by the Baltimore & Ohio
Railroad
in Washington Indiana, Daviess County. I remember my
grandad talking about this team when he was in his
80's, they played other teams in Vincennes,
Evansville, Dugger, Linton, Bloomington.
Does anyone have any info on the team or know anyone
that might know?
Thanks,
Steve Yeager.
