“MRS. EDNA BUXTON CLAIMED BY DEATH.
SUCCUMBS AT AGE OF 44 YEARS AT COUNTY HOSPITAL.
Mrs. Edna BUXTON, 44, wife of Bryan BUXTON, died at the Daviess county hospital at 2:45
a.m. Saturday. She had been ill for seven months and in a serious condition during the
last three weeks.
She was born August 19, 1896, in Roseville, Ill., the daughter of Ed and Gertrude (LAGRO)
HOOTEN. Mrs. BUXTON was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. J. C. ASHER, Naview, Ill., Mrs. T. T. ODOM, of
Odon, Mrs. Melvin GOETROEZSRIED, of San Antonio, Tex., and Irene BUXTON, of Odon; four
sisters, Mrs. Ben ABEND, of Tampa, Fla.; Mrs. Gladys SHIPLEY, of Hillsboro, Ia.; Mrs.
Cleve NICKLE and Mrs. Ray BRENAMAN of Muscatine, Ia.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Poindexter Funeral Chapel with Rev.
H. R. Burton in charge. Burial was made at Walnut Hill cemetery.”
