"OBITUARIES
LOUISA M. MORIN
"Her hands are cold; her face is white;
No more her pulses come and go;
Her eyes are shut to life and light;
Fold the white vesture, snow on snow,
And lay her where the violets blow."

"If any, born of kindlier blood,
Should ask, What maiden lies below?
Say only this: A tender bud,
That tried to blossom in the snow
Lies withered where the violets blow."
Louisa M. MORIN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. MORIN, passed away last Sunday morning
at one o'clock, aged 8 yrs., 7 months, and 21 days. "Whom the gods love, die
young," and the great Reaper cuts down not only the withered flowers and the bearded
grain, but often chooses the choicest buds that are blossoming into the most beautiful
flowers. A bright and sparkling little maiden, a father's pet and a mother's
fancy, is gone like the mist in the morning, leaving sad hearts and tearful faces to add
this new grief to the burdens that already weight the weary shoulders. The sympathy of
loving hearts goes out to the afflicted parents, hoping to lighten their sorrow caused by
the untimely death of their darling."
