Hi Daisy,
I am related to Rev. John through his son, Morgan--the same as Donna. I have copies of
Rev. John's military record, if that will help you in any way. It was accepted by the
SAR. The SAR never had any problem with my proof on Rev. John's military service.
They did have a slight question on Morgan being Rev. John's son. However, proof in
the form of Rev. John's children receipt of Rev. John's personal estate removed
that doubt. Funny--the SAR accepted the receipt of monies from the personal estate of
Rev. John, but didn't put a lot of stock in the dispersal of Rev. John's real
estate.
I would like to know or/and have copies of any thing you have on Rev John' parents and
family being in SC or NC. I haven't done a lot of research in SC, but what work I
have done has been a bust. I can't find any burial record on the Wallace's in
Union, SC. I think Rev. John's family by his first wife, Mary Hyatt, were prominent
in SC politics, but in my research it seems no one has heard of them. Any thing you may
have I would appreciate having. Anything I have I will be happy to send on to you.
Happy to have you in the search.
Your cousin,
Jim Wallace
