Death of JAMES AMMERMAN
JAMES AMMERMAN of St. Bernice, this county, died at 11 o'clock last Monday night,
January 11, 1904, of tuberculosis. He was born in Daviess County, May 9, 1831, making him
72 years, 8 months, and 2 days old. October 9, 1852, he was married to Miss Elizabeth
Andrews, who died May 26, 1903. To them were born 10 children, 9 of whom survive. The
deceased was a member of the U.B. Church for many years. Just before passing away, he
called his children to his bedside and told them he was ready and willing to go. His
funeral will occur at 10 a.m. today. Rev. F.D. Pugh, his pastor, will preach the
discourse, after which his remains will be consigned to their final resting place.
