Would this book be at the library? I am looking for an Eliza J (Holtsclaw)
Parsons, married on Sept 15, 1881. She is buried at Old Union Cemetery in an
unmarked grave. Hiram Parsons was married to her and after her death, he
married Cindy Cave in 1895. So those are the only dates I have. He was first
married to Elizabeth Dillon, who also was buried at Old Union Cemetery in an
unmarked grave. Any info greatly appreciated.

Subject: [INDAVIES] BRITTAIN surname
For Shirley
I have a book titled "Cemeteries of Daviess County, Indiana" Compiled
1990 -
1993 , Vol. VI, by Barbara Simms Waggoner.
This book covers Oak Grove Cemetery in Washington, Indiana.
I looked up Dr. Stephen H. Brittain. There is no Dr. Stephen Brittain but
there are other Brittain's.
I thought you would want them;
Brittain, Maggie L. 1875 - 1909 (May 12) Section Q
Brittain, Millard E. 1912 - 1955 (Buried May 27) Section K
Brittain, Velma T. 1916 - Section K
Brittain, Charles W. Aug. 18, 1891 - Dec. 21, 1973, Section J
Brittain, Rose Anna Jan. 23, 1894 - Dec. 13, 1968 Section J, married
Charles W. July 2, 1911
Then there is a section in the back of the book with unmarked graves. The
information was obtained from going through the Sexton's cemetery books.
The author states there are many mistakes, spelling, dates and even
location. She states the records are far from complete but here is what
she
found;
Brittain, O.C. May 26, 1935 Section Q
Maybe this O.C. Brittain "goes with" Maggie L. Brittain who is also buried
in Section Q.
I hope this helps with your research!
Theresa
