Rev. J. Frank Boyd Dead.
Rev. J Frank Boyd, pastor of the U. B. Church at Washington, died at his home at that
place of typhoid fever. Mr. Boyd had been in poor health for some time, but nothing
serious was expected until typhoid fever developed. Mr. Boyd was the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Boyd northwest of town and was born and reared in this vicinity. He was 36 years 11
months 20 days of age, and for the last eleven years has been preaching in the U. B.
Church, having been successful in his ministerial labors. He leaves a wife and five
children, his parents and a brother and sister. Mrs. Boyd's name was Kinnaman, she
being a member of the family of which several reside here. Mr. Boyd carried a $1000 policy
on his life. Dr. Funkhouser of Dayton, Ohio will have charge of the funeral services which
will be held at Good Hope today at 1:30 p.m. The body will arrive here at 12:30 and from
here taken to Good Hope church. Burial at Walnut Hill.
