Died Suddenly.
Mrs. J. C. McCafferty Dies Unexpectedly.
For Many Years Resided In This City, Where Her Husband was Engaged In Business.
Wednesday's Daily.
Mrs. John C. McCafferty, aged 59 years, died very suddenly and unexpectedly at 9:30
o'clock this morning at her home a short distance northwest of this city. The deceased
had not been in good health for some time but was not confined to her bed. This morning
she arose at the usual hour and partook of breadkfast. Later, she complained of feeling
worse than usual and took to her bed, and a short time later called her husband to her
side--she was dying. She lived but a few minutes. Her death is attributed to neuralgia of
the heart. Mrs. McCafferty, until a few years ago, resided at the corner of South and East
Forth street and it was not until Mr McCafferty retired from the merchantile business that
they moved to their farm. She leaves two children Hiram McCafferty, of this city, and Mrs
Edward Steinle, of Muncie, Ind. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church. She was
a good kind hearted woman and possessed the hearty friendship of all who knew her. The
funeral arrange!
ments have not been made.
She was the daughter of Parmenius Jones and Harriet Baldwin
