Thomas Pruitt Taken By Death
Retired Laborer Died This Morning of Paralysis--Native of Orange County
Thomas J Pruitt, 71, a native of Orange county but a resident of Washington for several
years died this morning at the home of his son in law Louis Shaner S. E. Fourteenth St.
Death of Mr. Pruitt was due to paralysis. He had been seriously ill for the past six days.
Mr. Pruitt was past 71 years old and was a retired laborer. He was a member of the
Christian church in Orange county. Surviving children are Mrs. Sallie Hill of Washington
and Wm A. Pruitt of West Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock
Tuesday afternoon at Aikman's creek church, burial following in the adjoining
cemetery. Elwood Williams will have charge of the funeral.
